Thomas D. Hutchins

Associate

Tom joined the Los Angeles office of LMP as an Associate in 2011.  His primary responsibilities include researching investment ideas, evaluating investment opportunities, executing transactions and monitoring portfolio companies.

Prior to LMP, Tom was an investment banking analyst in the Financial Institutions Group of UBS Investment Bank in New York.  At UBS, he worked primarily on merger and acquisition transactions involving asset managers, broker-dealers and specialty finance companies.  His efforts included evaluation of a major ETF manager as well as a merger analysis between firms with over $250 billion under management.  Tom was also the lead analyst in a $500 million follow-on offering for the world’s largest discount brokerage firm.

Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, magna cum laude, in Accounting and Finance from Texas Christian University.
