LMP and current management led the buyout of Duff & Phelps from Webster Bank in 2004. In 2005, the Company acquired S&P’s Corporate Value Consulting Division and in 2007, Duff & Phelps completed an initial public offering on the NYSE (ticker: DUF).
Over the years, the Company has completed a variety of tuck-in acquisitions to expand geographically, add new capabilities, and build on existing capabilities. Examples include the acquisition of Chanin Capital Partners to add restructuring services and Cole & Partners to complement the Company’s existing dispute business and establish a presence in Canada.
Today, Duff & Phelps maintains offices throughout North America, Europe and Asia and serves clients from three operating divisions. The Financial Advisory segment provides valuation advisory services, tax services, and dispute consulting. The Alternative Asset Advisory segment provides services related to portfolio valuation and due diligence. The Investment Banking segment provides M&A and restructuring services.
